Tonatiuh, a 33-year-old writer with a melancholy demeanour, lives in a tempestuous relationship with beautiful model Maria. One day Maria dies in a car accident and Tonatiuh ends up in hospital with no hope for recovery. While in a coma, his mind reconstructs details of his relationship with his girlfriend. At the same time, in brief moments of lucidity he sees Alicia, a very attractive nurse. Tonatiuh incorporates her into his memory, which helps him come out of his coma and leave the hospital. A year later, they meet up and engage in a relationship that becomes similar to that of Tonatiuh and Maria. This time, though, passion on the verge of violence is too much. Tonatiuh decides to end the affair in a manner that is unconventional but very effective… A thriller with Mexican film star Bárbara Mori playing Maria.
Jesús Magana Vázquez: Mexican director, writer and producer. He studied social communications at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico. He made his debut feature 'Sobreviviente' in 2003. His films have been presented at numerous international festivals, including the Berlinale.
