Bodas de odio is a Mexican telenovela produced by Ernesto
Alonso for Televisa in 1983. Original story by Caridad Bravo Adams and starring
Christian Bach, Miguel Palmer and Frank Moro.

Magdalena Mendoza (Christian Bach) is a young woman who is
in love with José Luis (Frank Moro), a humble soldier, but is forced by her
mother, Paula, to marry Alejandro Almonte (Miguel Palmer), a wealthy man, to
save the ruin of the family, consisting of his father, General Ivan Mendoza
(Carlos Riquelme), and his brother Dimitrios (Rafael Sanchez Navarro).
Alexander, meanwhile, is the illegitimate son of a rich man, which recognized
him shortly before his death, and comes to Puebla to see the paper mill that he
inherited. When Alejandro finds out about this, and thinking that he agreed Magdalena decides to make her life miserable, especially
when he learned that she was in love with Jose Luis, so the soldier sent to
prison. After he married Magdalena and Jose Luis escapes from jail and heads to
the Mendoza
family mansion after the wedding. Magdalena asks to go with him, but Alejandro
learns about this and takes Magdalena to his
ranch, home to Rosario, who is the real mother of Alejandro, Maria, the
daughter of the foreman, who loves Alejandro and his friends Cipriano and
Victor. Alejandro has liberal ideas and the movement supports the rebels
against the regime of Porfirio Díaz. José Luis began working as a foreman on
the ranch. He marries Angelica, who has a terminal illness, but his heart has
always loved Magdalena. But now she loves
Alejandro. When Alejandro finds out the truth about the new foreman, Magdalena is pregnant but does not believe that it is his
son and he leaves her. Finally, during the revolution, Alejandro is captured by
government troops, but Jose Luis saves at the cost of sacrifice for the love of
Magdalena.
Lo Que La Vida Me Robó is an upcoming Mexican telenovela to
be produced by Angelli Nesma Medina for Televisa. It is a remake of Bodas de
odio, produced by Ernesto Alonso in 1983. In 2003, Amor real, the first remake,
was produced by Carla Estrada. Unlike Bodas de odio and Amor real, Lo Que La
Vida Me Robó will be adapted to the present time.
On June 26, 2013, it was confirmed that Angelique Boyer,
Sebastián Rulli and Luis Roberto Guzmán will star as the protagonists, while
Daniela Castro, Grettell Valdez and Alberto Estrella will star as the
antagonists. On August 19, the second remake was officially named as Lo Que La
Vida Me Robó.
