Pope Francis has revealed insights into his life prior to
the Church. According to Catholic News Service, Pope Francis spoke at a parish church of San Cirillo Alessandrino and chatted
informally with parishoners. As well as working as a bouncer at a club, the
holy leader worked as a janitor and running tests in a chemical laboratory.
Pope Francis also spoke about how later in life, while teaching literature and
psychology, he learned how to inspire followers.
Pope Francis also spoke about his moment of being called to
the Church. For Francis, the most important reason for the faith is hope:
"always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a
reason for your hope" he said. The Catholic leader recounted his
realization during a confession with a priest he had never met before, joking
that the best confessors are priests the confessor doesn't know or priests who
are deaf. The Pope also spoke about his everyday life at the Vatican.
Pope Francis ended the talk with warm advice for
parishoners: "pray all the time, don't speak badly of others because
