Dmitri Hvorostovsky receives the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the IV degree
Dmitri Hvorostovsky has been awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the IV degree, the highest non-military honor in Russia. Bestowed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the award celebrates Dmitri’s tremendous contribution to the development of Russian culture and his outstanding artistic achievement.
The Siberian baritone previously received the title of ‘People’s Artist of Russia’ in 1995 and was admitted to The Order of Alexander Nevsky in 2015.
