We know Eric Bana in movies like Troy, Black Hawk Down, Munich, Hulk, The Other Boleyn Girl just to name a few. Now he is Eric Bana, DETAILS May 2009 issue cover hunk

Not only that, everyone can look forward to watching Eric Bana play a villain in the upcoming movie Star Trek. With all the movies and more coming up under his belt, and a nice ride in the thing we call “fame”, Eric considers himself just a regular race-car nut Aussie guy with a wife, 2 kids , and a poodle name Mario.

He never planned on being Eric Bana the actor, or the comedian, for that matter. What he really wants is to be Mario Andretti. Between shooting movies, Bana can be found “fart-arsing around with my car, getting ready for a race.” Although he has more than one, his favorite car is a fire-engine-red ’74 XB Falcon coupe that he calls the Beast. He’s had it since he was 15.

“Three of my closest friends—our relationship has been maintained because we’ve always worked on this car,” he says. “The car has transcended itself. It has become a campfire.”

Washington, Aug 14 : Actor Eric Bana believes that women love men who clean the house.

The `Troy' star revealed that he is handy at housekeeping.

"I''m good around the house. I''m not stealing my wife''s thunder, but I do clean. Housework is a bigger aphrodisiac to women than a set of abs, I''ve found!" Contactmusic quoted him as telling Britain''s Cosmopolitan magazine.

Bana further added that he wished he had the sex symbol tag on him when he was much younger.

He said: "It''s about 20 years too late! It would''ve been fun while I was at school or when I was 20, but it''s not something I take seriously.

"Like anyone, you have days when you''ve had a haircut and you''re wearing a suit and you feel handsome, then two days later you look in the mirror and go, ''Oh my God, if someone saw that I would never work again.'' " (ANI)

London, Oct 26 Hollywood actor Eric Bana has ruled out a move to the US, insisting he can maintain a successful Hollywood career while remaining in his native Australia.

The star lives in Melbourne, the city where he was born, and he refuses to transport his wife and two kids to Los Angeles just to land better roles, reports heraldsun. com.

"I just don't see the need (to move to the US). Not everything gets shot in LA so you might as well stay at home, right?" he said. (IANS)

London, Apr 27: It looks like Aussie actor Eric Bana loved his baddie role in the new ‘Star Trek’ movie.

Bana, 40, who is comfortable with tattoos, has jagged intergalactic designs covering his face like armour as he plays the part of villain Nero in the new Star Trek.

“Hopefully I won''t spark a trend,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

Turning the tousle-haired actor into his character Nero, the bald Romulan leader with large pointy ears and a warped, gravelly voice, was no easy task and the transformation took hours of make-up.

“It was so much fun,” Bana said.

“There you are in the make-up chair, freaking out. By the end of the first week it''s very normal, and when the other Romulans took their make-up off, I didn''t know how to take them,” he added.

This Star Trek prequel, directed by JJ Abrams centres on the early years of Captain James T Kirk (played by Chris Pine), Spock

(Zachary Quinto) and his crew, when the alien Romulan race attacks their Federation starship.

‘Star Trek’ is out on May 8. (ANI)

Melbourne, Feb 25 : Troy stars Eric Bana and Orlando Bloom were seen hanging out together at a custom motorcycles store in Sydney on February 24.

They met at Deus Ex Machina in Parramatta Rd, Camperdown, with Bloom riding there on his new customised road bike turned hill climber, the Deus SR400, which cost him

20,000 dollars, reports the Daily Telegraph.

For Bloom, it is the second bike he has bought from the Camperdown store, which is owned by Mambo founder Dare Jennings, his first bike having been bought last May.

Both Bana and Bloom tested a few bikes on inner-city roads, and later chatted with mechanics before having lunch.

Bana is a huge motorbike and motor-racing fan. (ANI)
