Bastille Day parade celebrations descended into farce today after police motorcyclists crashed into each other in front of President Macron and his wife, Brigitte.
As the couple watched Paris mark the country's biggest national holiday, four police motorcycles of the Republican Guard converged as part of planned choreography during the parade, when two suddenly crashed into each other.
Video footage shows the pair scramble to quickly escape from the toppled bikes.
