With such a divergent environment, the nations of Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and the Philippines, have distinctly different identities, beliefs and geopolitical needs.

BAKU - As a significant power in East Asia, Japan has long struggled to find its place in the region. In the previous century alone, the country rapidly modernized itself and altered between various ideas ranging from isolationism, militarism, mercantilism to centralized governance and consumer-based economy. However, Tokyo’s past challenges are not merely submerged in history. Many problems remain unaddressed. In this report, we will go over these issues and explains the geopolitics of Japan.
