Aida Vidovic Krilanovic, mezzosopran
Mezzo-soprano Aida Vidović Krilanović graduated from the Music Academy in Zagreb in 1993, where she studied under Ruža Pospiš Baldani. In 1992 and 1993, she received the Rector Award, as well as the Marija Borčić Award. She has had a number of successful appearences with the Croatian Chamber Orchestra, Zagreb Soloists, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Zagreb Philharmonics, etc. She further studied at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna with Margareta Lilowa. Her debut was in 1990 in the Croatian National Theatre when she interpreted Miško in the Christmas Story of Rudolf Matz. Afterwards she interpreted Lola in Cavalleria rusticana, Cherubino in Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, Mercedes in Bizet's Carmen, Maddalena in Verdi's Rigoletto, Sorceress in Pucell's Dido and Aeneas in the Varaždin Baroque Evenings, Guardian Angel in de Cavalieri's The Representation of the Body and the Soul in Zagreb Youth Theatre, etc. She recorded a CD, accompanied by the piano, with the works of Verdi, Brahms, Bersa, and Wolf. With the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and the Croatian National Theatre Split Choir she has participated in the making of the CD with the oratorio The Truth about the City of Liberty by Đelo Jusić. She has sung in concerts around Europe.
