Angelique Boyer in a recent interview with 'Reforma' (via TV Notas) left fans, entertainment observers and filmmakers stunned with the revelation that she wants to play the role of Anastasia Steele in the Latino version of "Fifty Shades of Grey" (Inquisitr - March 22).
The news reportedly has some big screen filmmakers in both Mexico and the United States very interested in the possibility of having her be part of their film projects as she brings her large Latino fan base which combined with her gorgeous looks and extensive acting range have the potential to help any film project she is part of be a huge box office hit.
An interesting discussion has developed among some entertainment observers who think that a bidding war for her acting services might soon develop between some Hollywood filmmakers and Mexican film and telenovela producers. Rumours throughout the Mexican entertainment industry have placed her as the leading candidate to play the 'meaty' role of triplets in the telenovela remake of "Lazos De Amor" but no agreement has been reach yet.
Could the prospect of her becoming part of a big screen movie in either the United States or Mexico be a ploy to help speed up negotiations in the project?
It might be but some fans and entertainment insiders also believe that the time is right for her to make the move to the big screen but they think it should be a move to Hollywood to push her "out of her comfort zone" while taking advantage of her strong connection and popularity with her Latino fan base who would very likely support her if she were to to join a Hollywood movie project.
Angelique Boyer shocked many of her fans in the 'Reforma' interview when she expressed her desire to play Anastasia Steele in the Latino version of "50 Shades of Grey" and informed her fans that she would no longer be posing for nude photos, an announcement which some of her male fans are reportedly still struggling to accept.
However, a bigger entertainment shock might soon follow as this Mexican acting starlet could decide in 2015 to expand into Hollywood as a big screen actress, a move which would likely surprise many in the Latino entertainment industry but one that might actually be a great move for this talented actress.
