Dear Friend of the Kennedy Library,
This coming Monday would be my father's 100th birthday. As President Kennedy becomes a part of history, I'm often asked how his life, words and actions can help guide us in today's world. On this anniversary, my children and I would like to share with you what his legacy means to us. I hope you'll take a moment to watch.

June 2, 1961 - Versailles, France - Born into a rich, politically connected Boston family JOHN F. KENNEDY was the youngest person elected U.S. President and the first Roman Catholic to serve in that office. For many observers, his presidency came to represent the ascendance of youthful idealism in the aftermath of World War II. The promise of this energetic and telegenic leader was not to be fulfilled, as he was assassinated near the end of his third year in office. His shocking death stood at the forefront of a period of political and social instability in the country and the world. PICTURED: KENNEDY's visiting opera while on official visit in France. "THE END OF CAMELOT" (1993)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsqhMsLFggA
Using vintage archival film and television footage, as well as newer (1993) interviews with some of the key participants and witnesses, The Discovery Channel's "The End Of Camelot" provides a rich, textured look into the shocking and world-affecting events of November 22, 1963, the day that President John F. Kennedy was killed by a sniper in Dallas, Texas.
This 90-minute retrospective program includes the very last interview ever given by former Texas Governor John Connally, who was riding in JFK's car when the shots rang out in Dallas and was seriously wounded by the gunfire.
Among those who put in an appearance in this documentary include: Ben Bradlee, Walter Cronkite, John Connally, Nellie Connally, Evelyn Lincoln, Malcolm Kilduff, Sargent Shriver, James Leavelle, Charles Brehm, and Air Force One pilot James Swindal.
Released on VHS video as "JFK: The End Of Camelot".

"FOUR DAYS IN NOVEMBER" (1964 DAVID L. WOLPER FILM)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxdoPaKJ64o
The outstanding "FOUR DAYS IN NOVEMBER" (1964) is an Academy Award-nominated documentary film that chronicles the 1963 assassination of United States President John F. Kennedy.
Produced by David L. Wolper very shortly after JFK's death, "Four Days In November" is narrated by actor Richard Basehart and includes some scenes with actual witnesses which recreate the events just as they occurred on the day when President Kennedy was shot and killed by Lee Harvey Oswald on November 22, 1963.
In my opinion, it's impossible to find a better and more accurate film dealing with JFK's death than this one. It's a step-by-step and day-by-day journey through those four tragic days, based on the actual evidence in the case.
Everything about "Four Days" is perfect, including the stirring music score composed for the movie by Elmer Bernstein, which provides the perfect background musical setting for the imagery on the screen
