JFK
Greetings,
When President Kennedy took office in 1961, the United States appeared to be struggling to keep up with the Soviet Union on space exploration. President Kennedy made space a priority and promised to land a man on the Moon by the end of the decade.
With the 50th Anniversary of the Moon landing approaching this July, we interview historian Doug Brinkley on how President Kennedy turned the U.S. space program around and set the course for a successful lunar landing almost 50 years ago.
New episodes will be released every other Thursday through the spring. Subscribe to JFK35 wherever you get your podcasts so you don’t miss a single episode.
