Police in Mexico are hunting an amateur footballer accused of killing a referee by headbutting him after he was red carded.
Fans thought the official had fainted after being knocked unconscious in the assault.

Ocurrió en Tulancingo, Hidalgo, durante un partido de futbol amateur. El árbitro, identificado como Víctor Trejo, decidió expulsar a uno de los jugadores por sus fuertes reclamos y éste respondió con un cabezazo que dejó sin vida al silbante.
Tanto jugadores como las personas que veían el partido fuera de la cancha, creyeron que el árbitro se había desmayado, pero al ver que no reaccionaba solicitaron los servicios de la Cruz Roja y cuando ésta llegó al lugar, el árbitro amateur ya había fallecido.
El agresor fue identificado como Rubén Rivera Vázquez, quien aprovechó el caos para huir del lugar en una camioneta pick-up.
