Matija Meić was born in Zagreb in 1986. After finishing Music High School Blagoje Bersa in Prof. Viktorija Badrov's class, he started his studies at the Music Academy in Zagreb with bass-baritone Giorgio Surian. In the last two years, he has also been working with Prof. Claudia Visca and is currently in her class at the Music University in Vienna.
In April 2013 the young baritone made his debut as Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Zagreb Opera House, where he also sang a.o. the roles of Schaunard in Puccini's La Boheme and Belcore in Donizetti's L'Elisir d’Amore. There, he also covered the title role in Blagoje Bersa‘s Der Schuster von Delft.
In June 2013 he sang the role of Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival.
In 2014 Mr. Meić comes back to the Zagreb Opera House as Belcore and Figaro. He will also perform the title role in Don Giovanni with the Vienna Music University at Schlosstheater Schönbrunn. In 2015 he will make his debut at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich as Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte.
During his studies, Matija Meić made his soloist debut at the Croatian National Theatre as Levi in Zajc's opera Nikola Šubić Zrinjski in 2011.
In 2011 he also performed Escamillo in Zagreb University's production at the Lisinski Concert Hall, as well as at the Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka.
On the concert podium, Mr. Meić has performed with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra (Mozart’s Requiem, Coronation Mass), Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra (Beethoven 9th Symphony), Belgrade Philharmonic and Belgrade Festival orchestra for the “Musical Evenings in St. Donat in Zadar” (Escamillo in Carmen, Marquis in La Traviata).
During his education, Mr. Meić won first prizes at two National Competitions in 2007 and 2009, and first and special prizes at the International Singing Competition "Bruna Spiler" in Herceg Novi (Montenegro 2010). In 2013 Mr. Meić won first prize and four prizes for interpretation at the Iuventus Canti Competition in Slovakia, as well as “Young Singer of the Year 2013” prize in Molto Cantabile Competition in Zagreb.
In October 2013 Mr. Meić performed at the “Beaumarchais Concours” prizewinners concerts in Mozarthaus Vienna and Gustav Mahler-Saal of the Vienna State Opera.

Leon Kosavic, baritoni (CRO). Loppukilpailu – Final. Radion sinfoniaorkesteri, joht. Hannu Lintu. – Bellini: “Ah, per sempre io ti perdei” (I Puritani). Donizetti: “Come Paride vezzoso” (Lemmenjuoma).
Leon Košavić rođen je u Karlovcu gdje je prvu poduku iz glazbe stekao u Glazbenoj školi Karlovac. Ondje je završio i i srednju glazbenu školu, smjer pjevanje u klasi prof. Ante Tončija Petkovića. Danas je student treće godine pjevanja na Muzičkoj akademiji u Zagrebu u klasi doc. Giorgia Suriana.
Na Državnom natjecanju učenika i studenata glazbe i plesa 2011. godine u Dubrovniku osvojio je I. nagradu.
Iste godine u studenom bio je najmlađi solist studentske produkcije opere Carmen, a u siječnju 2012. debitirao je u HNK Zagreb ulogom Papagena u Mozartovoj Čarobnoj fruli. Prošlog mjeseca nastupio je na Muzičkom biennalu Zagreb gdje je pjevao ulogu cara u operi Slavuj Igora Stravinskog.
Sve ove uspjehe Leon je prije nekoliko godina gotovo propustio, dvoumivši se između pjevanja i studija strojarstva. Danas mu je strojarstvo hobi (popravak motocikala, automobila, perilica rublja), a boravak u prirodi, u Ozlju u kojem je proveo djetinjstvo, posebno mu je zadovoljstvo.
