Michael John Bergin (born March 18, 1969) is an American model and actor.
In the early 1990s, Bergin met Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, a Calvin Klein publicist, whom he dated seriously, despite her burgeoning relationship with John F. Kennedy, Jr., whom she later married in September 1996.Kennedy and Bessette-Kennedy died in a plane crash in July 1999. In early 2004, Bergin published a book about his relationship with Bessette, The Other Man, claiming that they continued a sexual affair during the time Bessette was dating Kennedy and during their marriage.
On September 24, 2004, Bergin married makeup artist Joy Tilk with whom he has two children.

Michael John Bergin is an actor and a professional model, considered as the world's first male supermodel to have appeared in campaigns for designers like Calvin Klein, Yves Saint Laurent, Sonia Rykiel and Giorgio Armani. He is a national spokesperson at the anti-drug children's program D.A.R.E. and he also has lent his time, image and name to numerous AIDS charities. He studied at the University of Connecticut, from where he started his modeling career.
Moving on to his personal life, he now is a married man. He married his girlfriend with whom he has raised two children: a son and a daughter. Till now there is no record of his divorce. Before his marriage, he once was in a serious relationship with a beautiful lady who died in a plane crash. In 2004, he was arrested for driving drunk on the fifth anniversary of his ex-girlfriend's death.

Carolyn was a Calvin Klein publicist and wife of John F. Kennedy Jr, son of former United States president John Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy. Carolyn had an illegitimate affair with Bergin even she was married to Kennedy Jr.
Unfortunately, on July 16, 1999, Carolyn along with his husband Kennedy Jr. and her sister Lauren Bessette passed away in a plane crash. The plane was crashed on the coast of Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts.
Bergin revealed about his affair with Carolyn in his book The Other Man which was published in 2004.
