The Second Round of Negotiations for an Air Services Agreement between Japan and the Republic of Croatia

1. The second round of negotiations for an Air Services Agreement between Japan and the Republic of Croatia will be held from July 4 to 5, 2019 in Zagreb, Croatia.

2. This round will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Hiroaki Sano, Negotiator for Treaties, European Policy Division, European Affairs Bureau and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and on the Croatian side by Mr. Dinko Staničić, Director of the Civil Aviation Sector, Directorate General for Civil Aviation, Electronic Communications and Post, Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure and other officials from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

1. The first round of negotiations for an Air Services Agreement between Japan and the Republic of Croatia will be held from November 19 to 20, 2018 in Tokyo.

2. This round will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Hiroaki Sano, Negotiator for Treaties, European Policy Division, European Affairs Bureau and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and on the Croatian side by Mr. Dinko Staničić, Director of the Civil Aviation Sector, Directorate General for Civil Aviation, Electronic Communications and Post, Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure and other officials from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

The discussions between the aeronautical authorities of Japan and the Republic of Croatia were held in Zagreb on June 9, 2017, setting a tentative framework until the conclusion of an Air Services Agreement between the two countries, considering the possibility and forecasts that there would be sufficient air traffic demand for scheduled air services between Japan and the Republic of Croatia in the future.
