International Recognition and Impact
Orbicom is a trilingual specialized network of UNESCO within the University Twinning and Networking Program (UNITWIN). It is a think tank and a bridge-builder between the academics, the civil society members and the research and policy-making community in the field of Communication.
Members set Orbicom’s direction and priorities, and establish its areas of action. Through their
Annual General Assembly (AGM) members who share an active interest or expertise in a particular
issue or project can make recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Members also work together under the Orbicom umbrella at international and regional levels.
Solidarity and Community
Orbicom incorporates 38 UNESCO chairs in Communication and 250 associate members in 73
countries. Altogether, they promote local, regional and global human development using a
multidisciplinary approach, through strategic communication in a diversity of languages.
Networking
The membership in Orbicom expands your reach, helps you promote your work and gives you the
opportunity to work with other members in joint projects.
Information and Knowledge
Members learn from each other’s experiences, share information, research and publication materials,
and vision.

• An Orbicom website where coordinators facilitate discussions.
• The promotion of members’ profiles and their works around the world through a trilingual
website, periodic newsletters and online mailing lists.

IMPORTANT :
The cost of the conference in Strasbourg is 140 € (70 € for doctoral students). The members of Orbicom up to date of their contribution are exempted of expenses and they will be registered on the dinner list offered by Orbicom (Sunday, May 12, 2019 at 18:30).
Le montant des frais pour le colloque à Strasbourg est de 140 € (70 € pour les doctorants). Les membres d’Orbicom à jour de leur cotisation sont dispensés de frais et seront inscrits sur la liste du dîner offert par Orbicom (Dimanche le 12 mai 2019 à 18h30).

Reconnaissance internationale et impact
Orbicom est un réseau spécialisé international et trilingue du programme UNITWIN de l’UNESCO. Il s’agit d’un “think tank” qui sert à construire desponts entre les professeurs d’université, les membres de la société civile et la communauté des décideurs de politiques dans le domaine de lacommunication.
Les membres d’Orbicom établissent ses règles et ses priorités, et décident de ses champs d’action. Lors des Assemblées générales des membres(AGM), ceux qui partagent un intérêt ou une expertise sur un sujet ou dans un projet peuvent faire des recommandations au Conseil d’administration.
Les membres travaillent aussi au niveau international et régional sous l’étiquette d’Orbicom.

Orbicom compte 38 chaires UNESCO en communication et 250 membres associés dans 73 pays. Tous ensemble, ils font la promotion dudéveloppement local, régional et humain par l’approche multidisciplinaire et la communication stratégique dans plusieurs langues.

La importancia y el peso internacional de Orbicom
Orbicom es una red internacional especializada y trilingüe del programa UNITWIN de la UNESCO. La misma constituye un prestigioso think tank queconstruye puentes entre académicos, investigadores integrantes de la sociedad civil y tomadores de decisiones que actúan en el campo de lacomunicación.
Son los propios miembros de Orbicom quienes establecen sus reglas y prioridades y deciden sobre sus campos de acción. Actuando orgánicamenteen las Asambleas Generales de Miembros (AGM), quienes comparten experiencias o proyectos en temas comunes pueden hacer recomendacionesal Consejo de Administración
Los miembros también trabajan internacional y regionalmente bajo el sello Orbicom.
Solidaridad y comunidad
Orbicom está integrada por 38 Cátedras UNESCO de Comunicación y 250 Miembros Asociados en 73 países.
Juntos promueven el desarrollo local, regional y humano a través de un enfoque multidisciplinario y de la comunicación estratégica en varios idiomas.

Ser miembro de Orbicom amplía el alcance de sus acciones, le ayuda a la promoción de su quehacer y le permite trabajar con otros miembros de lared en proyectos compartidos.
