Paul William Walker IV (Glendale, Kalifornija, 12. rujna 1973. – Valencia,
Kalifornija, 30. studenog 2013.), bio je američki filmski glumac. Prvi zapaženi
uspjeh na filmu ostvario je 1999. godine filmom Varsity Blues. Najpoznatiji je
po ulozi u filmu Brzi i žestoki (2001.) i njegovim nastavcima Prebrzi i
prežestoki (2003.), Brzi i žestoki: Povratak (2009.) i Brzi i žestoki 5
(2011.). Među njegovim ostalim filmovima istaknutiji su Running Scared i Into
the Blue.

Actor Paul Walker, 40, and another person are killed in a
single car accident in Valencia.

Actor Paul Walker, who gained fame as an undercover
detective in the hugely successful "The Fast and the Furious"
franchise, was killed Saturday in a car accident in Valencia, his representatives
confirmed.
The single vehicle crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. in the
28300 block of Rye Canyon Loop. Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley
sheriff's station and the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived to find a
vehicle engulfed in flames. Two people in the vehicle were pronounced dead at
the scene.
According to a statement on his Twitter account, Walker, 40, was attending
a charity event to aid Filipino victims of Typhoon Haiyan for his organization
Reach Out Worldwide, formed in 2010 as a quick response first-aid organization.
"It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm
that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a
charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide," the statement
read. "He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their
lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond
belief by this news."
Officials with the Los Angeles County
coroner's office said they were still at the scene and could not confirm the
names of either victim.
Representatives with Universal Pictures confirmed Walker's identity and
released a statement:
"All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly
one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14
years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the 'Fast
and Furious' films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere
condolences to Paul's family."
At the time of his death, Walker, who also starred in
"Pleasantville" and "Varsity Blues," was working on the
seventh film of the "Fast and Furious" franchise.

Paul Walker has left behind many people who are heartsick
about his tragic death, particularly his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow Walker.
However, other special people in Paul's life are struggling with his loss as
well.
Paul and a friend passed away on November 30 in a car crash.
An autopsy report has been delayed so that authorities can use dental records
to identify the badly burned bodies.
One person who was devastated by the news is 23-year-old
Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell, who reportedly dated the 40-year-old Paul for years.
Some reports say that Paul and Jasmine split up in 2011, although her family
claims they were still together at the time of his death.
"Paul is a really good guy, and Jasmine is broken up by
this," her uncle tells the Daily Mail. "This is horrible news and
unexpected. Her mother is with her and is comforting her."
"They had their ups and downs, but they were together
and looking to spend a bright future together," her uncle continues.
Paul and Jasmine obviously had a dramatic age difference,
given the 17 years' difference between them. They apparently met when she was
just 16 years old.
However, Who's Dated Who reports that Paul was dating
actress Genesis Rodriguez at the time of his death. "Genesis started
dating Paul in 2012 and was his last girlfriend before he died in a car
accident in November 2013," the site claims.
Regardless of who Paul was seeing when he died, it's clear
that many people are deeply hurt by the fact that he's gone.
