Rory Yeomans’s main research interest is in the comparative cultural, social, and economic history of European fascism, with an emphasis on Croatia under the Ustasha movement. His project at IAS is a study of transnational links between citizens of the wartime Ustasha state and the new Europe.

Rory Yeomans is the author of Visions of Annihilation: the Ustasha Regime and the Cultural Politics of Fascism, 1941-1945 (Pittsburgh University Press, 2013) and with Anton Weiss-Wendt the co-editor of Racial Science in Hitler’s New Europe, 1938-1945 (Nebraska University Press, 2013). He is currently completing a multi-author volume on social life and terror in the Independent State of Croatia entitled The Utopia of Terror: Life, Death and Everyday Experience in the Ustasha State.
