http://www.thejakartapost.com/bali-daily/2013-05-27/night-safari-reversing-roles.html
.... Bali Safari and Marine Park (BSMP) offers its visitors
the unsettling sensation of (not quite) becoming night prey for the zoo’s
residents through its latest program, Night Safari…..
Marketing guru Hermawan Kartajaya said that the Bali
Safari’s Night Safari program was a true combination of human creativity and
nature’s wonders.
“The combination of creativity and nature is what we all
know as an adventure,” he said.
The Erik Sondhy Trio to play at the House of Masks

The jazz scene on the island has never, in my opinion, been
stronger, more vibrant, nor as entertaining as it is right now. The resurgence
and current popularity of jazz in Bali is in no small part due to the seemingly
bottomless pit of extraordinary young talent, both homegrown and imported, who
grace Bali’s bars, clubs and festivals, week
in, week out.

Police Watch, said in Jakarta
on Sunday.

While Indonesia
still lags behind 29 other countries on a worldwide hunger list, the United
Nations has announced it will award the country for its efforts in reducing
malnutrition.
Jose Graziano da Silva, director general of the UN’s Food
and Agriculture Organization, said on Sunday that Indonesia has achieved its
Millennium Development Goal on reducing hunger and malnutrition by half, years
before the 2015 deadline. The National Statistics Bureau (BPS) reported that in
1989, 31 percent of Indonesian children aged under five were underweight — a
key indicator in determining prevalence of hunger. The bureau reported that in
2010 the figure had declined to 17.9 percent.

Washington.
Four separate teams of scientists have said they were unable to replicate a
highly publicized study that last year touted a cancer drug’s success against
Alzheimer’s disease in mice.
“We wanted to repeat the study to see if we could build on
it, and we couldn’t,” said David Borchelt, a professor of neuroscience at the University of Florida, noting that “it was important
to publish the fact.”
“Maybe there should be some caution going forward in regard
to patients,” he added.
The high profile 2012 study in the US journal Science found that mice
treated with bexarotene became rapidly smarter and the plaque in their brains
that was causing Alzheimer’s started to disappear within hours.
