Greetings,

On Tuesday, July 16 at 9:32am ET, exactly 50 years after Apollo 11 began its journey to the Moon, witness the Saturn V rocket launch from your own backyard, office, or anywhere else in the world using the JFK Moonshot app.

The digital simulation is an immersive, augmented reality experience that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing and President Kennedy’s vision that launched the effort. Created by Digitas and sponsored by Raytheon, JFK Moonshot allows users to relive one of the greatest achievements in human history by tracking the five-day journey from the Earth to the Moon with 120+ hours of real-time simulation.

Those in the Boston-area are invited to join us at the JFK Library to watch the full-scale Saturn V digital replica launch from our harborside patio. If you plan to attend, we recommend downloading the JFK Moonshot app at home before you arrive. You can find more information at our Facebook event page. The launch will also be live streamed on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch.

Space Fest at the JFK Library Join us on Saturday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing with a full day of activities for all ages. Guest speakers include a former NASA astronaut, and space engineers and scientists. Learn how spacesuits keep astronauts safe in space, build and launch a rocket or explore the Milky Way through virtual reality! Enjoy Moon-themed music and make-and-take space activities. Help us commemorate this milestone event in human achievement in space!
