Vesna Krmpotić (born,17th June, 1932. in Dubrovnik) is a Croatian writer and translator.
Krmpotić graduated psychology and English language on University of Zagreb and in New Delhi, India, she studied Bengali language. After marrying Radivoje Petković, a diplomat, Vesna lived across the globe: Cairo, Washington, Accra, New Delhi, and as of 2004 she lived in Belgrade. She has written over 70 books and the book Brdo iznad oblaka (A Hill Above the Clouds) is considered to be one of the best Croatian novels. In her life Vesna turned to oriental religions and philosophy, being particularly influenced by the teaching of Sathya Sai Baba.
Krmpotić holds many literary awards given in Croatia, including the Vladimir Nazor Award award for life work in 1999.
